Northern Lights Wildlife Society provides young injured and/or orphaned wildlife with a safe and healthy environment to mature into adulthood, upon which they are released back to the wild.

    Stage 3 Volunteering (6 month)

    Stage 3:

    • Minimum commitment 6 month (might be available year round with flexible start dates)
    • Daily feed preparation
    • Care of domesticated animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits and horses
    • Maintenance tasks such as washing feed dishes, raking empty enclosures, painting, yard work etc.
    • Hands on wildlife care such as feeding wildlife and cleaning enclosures.
    • Possible participation in rescue/release missions close to the Shelter
    • Limited involvement in medical care
    • Participation in Fundraising/Education Events
    • Record Keeping
    • Room & Board
