Will filming at NLWS impact the animals chances of successful releases

First and foremost, we would like to point out that this a documentary in the truest sense of the word. None of the events shown were created or staged. The camera simply captured our day to day events.

When we first started discussing the option of filming at NLWS with various companies, (they approached us) we where pretty opposed to the idea.  Having worked with media on news stories and a few short documentaries, we found the whole process intrusive. Additionally, the message shared in the end was often not what we had in mind. The same was true with Omnifilm's first contact, we did not like the ideas presented and declined the offer.

Nevertheless, months later, President and Executive Producer Michael Chechik and Principle and Executive Producer Gabriela Schonbach asked for another meeting and actually came to NLWS.  We found they really listened to our concerns in regards to habituating the animals and the ideas that we wanted to share with viewers.  The negotiations lasted several month and resulted in a good contract that protects the animals and NLWS' interests.

After filming for three seasons, we are  confident  that the animals were in no way negatively impacted by the filming.  The two man film crew proved to be absolutely amazing and became dear friends.

Producer Brad Quenville and  Director of Photography Nick Quenville have proven to be very respectful and genuinely concerned about the animals in our care.  Nick has proven to have incredible observation skills, which results in outstanding captures on film. Brad and the production team at Omnifilm have done an incredible job to bring the stories to life and let us share our joys and sorrows with the viewers.
