    Meet Volunteer Hazel Massier

NLWS relies on Volunteers to run smoothly and finding someone to look after the animals is usually not to hard. But there is so much more needed than animal care. So volunteers like Hazel are rare and so much appreciated. Whenever her busy schedule allows she travels 565km (one way) to help out for a few days. She blows in with a sunny smile and super great attitude and immediately all of us feel better. Hazel jumps in wherever needed, washing dishes, cutting produce or grabbing tools to fix something. This kind of help frees the animal care takers up to do special tasks or enrichment creating a better environment for the animals in care. Thank you so much Hazel, we can't wait for your next visit.
