    'Merritt' - Meet The Animals

When this little cub arrived at NLWS on Nov 9th of 2019 we kind of thought “He doesn’t look too bad“... A little while later we sedated him in order to properly move him we discovered a pellet from a pellet gun which had become embedded in his head, just below his ear. We quickly removed it allowing the the wound to heal quickly and problem free.

Update: 'Merritt' has gained a fair amount of weight and is looking healthy once again. He will be released in June of 2020.
