# Northern Lights Wildlife Society

> Northern Lights Wildlife Society (NLWS) is a rewilding facility founded in 1990 in British Columbia, Canada. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured, orphaned, and young wildlife, with a specialization in black bears, grizzly bears, and moose, while promoting public education on coexistence and supporting scientific research.

Northern Lights Wildlife Society provides a safe haven for BC mammals and select birds of prey. Our goal is to give wildlife a second chance through expert care, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and preparation for successful release back into the wild. NLWS relies on donations, volunteers, memberships, community support, and responsible public awareness to continue this work.
