⚠️ 🐻 Important Omineca Dispute Update

It has come to our attention that individuals involved in the Omineca dispute over the handling of orphaned wildlife have been threatened, including threats directed at their families.
This kind of action is counterproductive and unacceptable. We understand the frustration and concern people feel when wildlife is at risk, but directing anger or threats toward individuals will not help the animals we are trying to protect.
What we need are policies that clearly recognize and outline the role of science-based rewilding in wildlife management. We need open communication that listens to and addresses concerns from all sides, while working toward solutions that provide the best possible care for individual animals without compromising wild populations.
Changes to permits and policies cannot happen without meaningful input from all sides. Everyone involved needs to be heard if we are going to develop effective, responsible approaches to orphaned wildlife.
So we ask everyone: please do not participate in name-calling, threats, or the sharing of posts that target individuals. We can disagree strongly while still treating one another with respect.
Let’s work to be partners in wildlife care—not enemies of the people involved. The animals need solutions, cooperation, and constructive dialogue.
